Prizes, Raffles, and Food

There will be all sorts of goodies available at Tour de Gap. First, the top 3 finishers in each age category of the 56 mile route will receive prizes. Second, all three routes will have their own swag raffle. Just keep your ride number handy after you finish and you can enter into the swag raffle for your route. If your number is drawn you’ll get to choose an item from the swag pile that has been donated by BikeTown. You do have to be present to win the prizes and swag.

There will also be a separate ticket raffle. BikeTown will be raffling off a Cyclops Mag Trainer, retail value of $200, with all proceeds going to the Food Bank. Tickets will be available for purchase at the venue. Tickets are $2 per ticket or 3 tickets for $5. The winner will be drawn after the 56 mile swag raffle. You do not have to be present to win the ticket raffle, but if your name is drawn and you are not there, you will need to come to BikeTown to pick up the trainer.

Food will be available at the venue for all riders. There will be fruit as well as La Popular burritos. These are included in your entry fee. We have added something new this year – Cajun Cones! Bring a couple of bucks for a cool, refreshing Cajun Cone after you finish your ride. Looking at the weather forecast, a Cajun Cone will definitely hit the spot!

We look forward to seeing you at the Gap!

The Abilene State Park on FM 89 a few miles west of the venue will allow riders to enter and use their bath facilities without paying the normal entrance fee. You will need to present your rider number at the entrance gate as your “ticket.” The free entry is only for Tour de Gap riders, so anyone riding with you might want to wait at the Tour de Gap venue if they don’t want to pay the entry fee.
