Tour de Gap 2014 Registration

Register online for Tour de Gap 2014 at bikereg. Online registration will be open from now until 11:45 pm on Thursday, July 24. If you register online the cost is $30. If, for some reason, you miss the preregistration deadline, you can sign up the day of the event between 6:30 and 7:30 am at the venue. The cost for day-of registration is $40. Children 14 years old and younger ride free with a paying adult, but they do still have to register.

Showers Available

This year there will be showers available to those who would like to rinse off after the ride and before heading home. The Abilene State Park on FM 89 a few miles west of the venue will allow riders to enter and use their bath facilities without paying the normal entrance fee. You will need to present your rider number at the entrance gate as your “ticket.” The free entry is only for Tour de Gap riders, so anyone riding with you might want to wait at the Tour de Gap venue if they don’t want to pay the entry fee. We hope this helps those of you from out of town!

Directions

The Tour de Gap is located at the Old Settlers’ Reunion Grounds in Buffalo Gap, TX, just a few miles south of Abilene. Coming from Abilene, head south on FM 89 (Buffalo Gap Road). Once FM 18 enters Buffalo Gap, the road will make some sharp turns. On the second sharp right, where FM 89 becomes Vine Street, do not follow the road to the right. Instead, go left into the Old Settlers’ Reunion Grounds.  The Tour de Gap registration area and start line are bordered by Vine Street, East Street, Cherry Street, and Ranch Road 89. It is just to the east of Jim Ned Elementary.
