Tour de Gap Riders: Where they’re from

Pretty amazing info that Bikereg gives you. We wondered where Tour de Gap riders came from, since we’re getting ready for the 35th annual. So we put it all in a blender by hometown zip code, and found out that while there are a bunch from the Key City of Abilene, we see riders from the Permian Basin, lots from San Angelo, and cities all over Texas and elsewhere. Call a friend or two and suggest you all head to the shady oak trees of the Old Settlers’ Ground at Buffalo Gap for 2017’s Tour, July 22!

Tour de Gap 2017 Registration is Now Open!

Registration for the 35th edition of the Tour de Gap is now open. Head over to BikeReg to register for one of the three routes. In response to a lot of requests, we’re stretching out the longer route to a 100K (62 Mile) route. The traditional 11 mile and 27 mile routes will be just the same beautiful rides that they have been.

And on Sunday, as a special challenge for the 35th Anniversary, check out the Steamboat Mountain Time Trial. it’s a challenging 7.2 mile hill climb up Belle Plains road, and winds up on the top of the steepest climb, Steamboat Mountain.

Once again, we are benefiting a fantastic organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Texas. Come on out to the Gap on Saturday and Sunday, July 22 and 23 and enjoy a great ride for a great cause!
